Our private 2 days desert tour to Zagora from Marrakech. depart early in the morning at around 07h30 a.m. The ride will take you through Tizi Ntichka Pass (altitude: 2,260 m), past adobe Berber villages and shepherds herding their goats. There is a stop in the High Atlas Mountains for some picture-taking and coffee break/rest. The next stop is at the UNESCO World Heritage village in Kasbah Ait Ben Hadou. You will have enough time to explore this wonderful site, which has also been famous as a backdrop for many movie and commercial shoots. There is a special guided group tour that charges an extra fee of €30 per individual to tourists who want to join the local tour guide. A one-hour lunch break is next after the visit of the Kasbah.
The desert trip resumes driving you past Ouarzazate and crossing the Northeastern Anti Atlas Mountains towards the Agdz oasis. There is a short stop in the village center, after which, rich sceneries will behold you as see countless date palm trees lining up the Draa Valley, home of the largest tree palm plantations in Morocco. By late afternoon, you will be ready to meet with your camel caravans. The most-awaited camel ride through the Zagora desert begins amid the backdrop of an amazing desert sunset. Savor this unique experience for about an hour. Before darkness sets in, we take our camel trek to the Berber desert camp, which lies in an obscure desert spot you have never been to before. Here at the Bedouin camp, you will be treated to an exotic delicious Moroccan dinner to be followed by the local desert nomads’ unique drums show by the campfire. Drums playing and folklore singing and music continue until around midnight. Enjoy star gazing before you go to sleep. Desert nights under a clear sky are a sight to behold.

Be ready to be awakened by your camp hosts early morning so you can see the sunrise in the desert. Breakfast follows, after which you will ride the camels again on your way to your vehicle and driver on the main road. The drive will take us to Ouarzazate, dubbed the gateway or door to the Sahara desert. There will be a stop for lunch at a local café. A visit to Taourirt Kasbah is an option depending on the available time. Entrance fees to this place apply. We drive back to Marrakech once more crossing the High Atlas Mountains. The two-day tour ends in Jamaa Elfna Square at around 18h00 (during summer) and 20h00 (during winter).
