The 3 days desert tour from Marrakech to Merzouga. starts early morning on Day 1 with the vehicle initially taking off from Marrakech and through small suburban towns to the High Atlas Mountains. We will have a few stops for you to enjoy picture taking, rest and coffee. We will then resume with an uphill drive up the famous Tizi Ntichka pass before reaching the UNESCO World Heritage site Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where we will have a major stop for your sightseeing enjoyment. Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou is an old fortified village. It has been used as a set for many Hollywood movies among them Lawrence of Arabia, Kingdom of Heaven and Gladiator. At the opposite bank of the river that separates Kasbah from the main road is the village that you can explore at your leisure and hire local guides are available on site. Lunch at one of the local cafes is next. The trip continues to Dades Valley after lunch, passing by Ouarzazate, Skoura Oasis and Klaa Mgounna, who described the capital of the valley of the roses. We will reach Boumalne Dades and follow Dades River driving past fortified Kasbahs on the side of the road to Dades Canyons. We will arrive at the hotel where you are booked late afternoon. You will have dinner and overnight stay at your Dades hotel.

You will have breakfast at your hotel. The day’s journey will commence with a drive along a road teeming with thousands of Kasbahs leading to the oasis of Tinghir. We will then take a minor road that follows the direction of the river to Todgha. Enjoy a walk along the rural palm groves under the shade of trees in the oasis when we stop at this point. Our journey continues towards Todgha Gorges.
You will be provided some time to relax and leisurely appreciate the grandiose and immensity of the cliffs around you and have lunch in a local café. By early afternoon, it will be time to continue with our trek, going to the place famous for its dates market, Rissani. This place is also well-known for being the takeoff point of the ancient trading caravans that crossed the Sahara desert to Tombouctou. We will have a short stop then continue to drive towards Merzouga's past landscapes of rocky desert. You can take a refreshing plunge at the swimming pool of the Palais Des Dune lodge just before you meet your camel caravan. You will then experience the much-awaited camel ride amid the backdrop of the windswept sand dunes and the Sahara desert sunset. You will have enough opportunity to enjoy the view of the sand dunes and the landscapes around them before darkness sets in. You will have a taste of authentic Moroccan dinner when it is served to you under the bright night sky by the outdoor campfire. Local desert nomads will treat you with their drums entertainment until late night.

You get to enjoy Erg Chebbi, even more, the following morning when you have a sunrise trek through the sand dunes on top of your camel. The camel ride takes you to the camp operator’s lodge for a breakfast. If time allows, you can take a shower or a quick swim at the lodge pool. It will be time to meet your vehicle driver for a drive back to Ouarzazate. The drive goes on until lunchtime and leisure break. The afternoon progresses with a continuing drive towards Marrakech, through the High Atlas Mountains. The three-day desert tour concludes in Marrakech, where you first started, around 19h00.
